How a cancer diagnosis inspired make-up artist, Joanne Morgan, to create her range: Makeup for TV
Award nominated make-up artist, Joanne Morgan, has been in the business for 30 years and also runs a successful agency (Make-up Artists 4 TV), with her daughter, Alannah, supplying freelance make-up artists to organisations such as CNN/CNBC, in London.
However, in 2017, Joanne received some devastating news; she was diagnosed with a rare and incurable eye cancer called Ocular Melanoma. The deterioration of her vision in her left eye after radiotherapy meant that she couldn’t carry on working full time as a make-up artist.
Spurred on by the challenge of her diagnosis, Joanne decided to launch her own make-up range. It was originally aimed at pro makeup artists, but then Joanne’s daughter Alannah suggested that she make it available to consumers and so here we have, ‘Make-Up For TV’s, Make-Up By Belle’
Joanne and 22 year old Alannah, who studied marketing at Bournemouth University, now run Make-Up For TV’s, Make-Up By Belle together.
The make-up is paraben free, ethically sourced from Canada & Europe, has vegan options and is not tested on animals. What’s not to like!
