As with any image makeover, the first episode of The UpDaters: Profile Picture Fixers, starts with ‘the hair’. Sitting her in front of the mirror in his salon, Richard runs his comb through Hayley’s hair, explaining why her long dark auburn locks need taming to create a new image for the 32 year old from London, who has been single for six years. “Many women think long hair equals sexy, but sometimes, as in Hayley’s case, it just swamps your face,” he says.
“I’m going to take your hair shorter than it’s probably ever been before,” he advises before, with Hayley’s agreement, he deftly goes into action, snipping off six inches and creating “a sexy side fringe” that is just the start of Hayley’s glamorous image makeover.
